This week’s Insider’s Look is a special one. The Mind Museum, our home and headquarters, is celebrating its 9th birthday! And to go with the celebration, our Curator and Managing Director, Maribel Garcia came up with a list of some or our favorite things through the years that we have been together!
Raindrops on basins and syringes with needles
Bright lighted handles and darn rocket blasters
Crazy cute sandwiches with critters as themes
These are a few of our favorite things
Cream frozen liquid as crisp merengue oodles
Door bells that have funny circuits like noodles
Wild conversations of kids that you bring
These are a few of our favorite things
Girls in STEM courses with all-colored sashes
Backaches from space camp from shucks, doing dashes
Thriller-filled nights amidst dinos with wings
These are a few of our favorite things
When our doors shut
When the Web fails
When we are feeling sad
We simply remember our favorite things
And then we don't feel so bad
Emails from partners with news of approvals
Night secret 'ventures with 5-year-old winners
Wonder-packed brains through mindmoving in May
These are a few of our favorite things
Blackholes and starstuff that litter in wonder
Teachers whose hearts clap when kids start to ponder
Mommies and Daddies who think science is coooooool
These are a few of our favorite things
Outbreaks won’t stay, that’s right, we will prevail
One day we’ll be back and even be better
So grateful to you all now.. and forever.
You are the crux of our favorite things.
When our doors shut
When the Web fails
When we are feeling sad
We simply remember our favorite things
And then we don't feel so bad.
