Ever since I began studying, I would wonder what school lessons would look like beyond words. I was always excited about field trips because I get to see things come to life. This is why I chose to pursue geology- to see how the earth works with my very own eyes. Being a geologist is not just about being a scientist. Believe it or not, you also need to channel your inner artist to visualize different processes on earth. Even in other sciences, it is always easier to comprehend when you have drawings, photos, videos, and even 3D models. Some people say that science is too difficult and not meant for everyone. However, I think that science can be for everyone if we just show as much as we tell. One of the best ways to do that is through art! If you think about it, science definitely needs art. It is capable of bringing science to everyone.
This is exactly what I get to do in BAFI. With a brilliant team coming from different fields, we have a lot of stories to share. We have science and art to spread knowledge that the world may need. With everything around us changing so fast, we need to stay informed so that we can be prepared for whatever comes our way. In Mind S-Cool, you’ll definitely see what science looks like beyond words.
