Forgotten Women: The Scientists (2018) is part of a book series showcasing the amazing contributions of 48 women each in the fields of arts, writing, leadership, and of course, science. With names most probably haven't heard of, it's a hard-hitting proof of how science is and should belong to everyone.

Why do we love it?
It’s a very self-aware read – not shying away from the history and reality of who gets remembered but it isn’t a book about victimhood. Rather, it is a fleshing-out of achievements we should already be celebrating. If I ever have kids, I’ll definitely save a copy for them.

Who is it for?
- History nerds who want more than what an average textbook may explain
- Teens and Tweens in need of good STEM role models
